Bookkeeper – Part Time

Location:  Walthamstow, London, E17 8PQ
Salary: £30K - £40K per annum, pro rata and based on experience
Contract: Part time (24 hours per week), Permanent. Hours can be worked over 3 days.

Elmelin is a company which manufactures thermal and electrical insulation products to solve industrial challenges.

We supply the foundry industry with slip planes for industrial furnaces, we supply high temperature tubes to heat guns and more recently we supply fire protection and thermal barriers for lithium batteries in motor vehicles. 

We are now recruiting for a Bookkeeper to join our team.

As our Bookkeeper you will be responsible for:

  • Perform daily bookkeeping, including customer and supplier invoice processing
  • Manage credit control and follow up on outstanding payments
  • Reconcile bank accounts and financial statements
  • Support accounts payable and ensure timely payments
  • Assist in preparing monthly financial reports and reconciliations
  • Prepare VAT returns
  • Assist with payroll processing and expense tracking
  • Coordinate office operations and communicate with suppliers

In order to be successful in this role you must have:

  • Previous experience in a similar bookkeeper / finance assistant role.  
  • Good numerical and analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Effective communication skills and a proactive attitude.
