Are you an experienced Early Years professional ready to take the next step in your career?

We're looking for a Deputy Manager to join our warm and welcoming team as a Supernumerary Lead Practitioner, with a strong focus on quality, practice, and inclusion.

This is a non-room-based role where you’ll have the time and headspace to support staff, lead on curriculum and practice, and help shape a nurturing, inclusive learning environment.

SEND experience is highly desirable – we’re seeking someone who can support inclusive practice and work closely with the regional SENDCo and external professionals.

During school holidays, you will take on full management responsibilities, providing you with an excellent opportunity to step up and develop your leadership skills further.

What You’ll Bring:

Level 3 or above qualification (full and relevant by DfE) – Essential
• Strong knowledge of the EYFS and safeguarding practices
• A proven track record of supporting high-quality early years education
• Confidence in mentoring and coaching staff
• Experience working with children with SEND (desirable)
• Leadership potential with the ability to take initiative and lead in the Manager’s absence

Your Responsibilities Will Include:

• Leading on curriculum implementation and high-quality practice across the nursery
• Supporting inclusion and working closely with families and outside agencies
• Leading team meetings, supervisions, and staff development
• Taking full management responsibility during school holidays, including staffing, parent liaison, and safeguarding oversight

What We Offer:

• £1,000 bonus after successful probation
• Supportive leadership and access to professional development
• A supernumerary role that lets you focus on practice, not ratios
• A warm, values-driven working environment
• Opportunities for career progression and further leadership roles

This post is classed as ‘Regulated Activity’ and requires an Enhanced DBS check.

If you're ready to lead, inspire, and help children thrive – apply now and start the next chapter in your early years career.
